My Reading List

I have always loved books, mostly I love the information and ideas they allow me to access.  I of course enjoy fiction, but I have a special affinity with non-fiction.  My personal collection is filled with local history, flora and fauna books, as well as the usually suspects – self help books.
I now appreciate that some things cannot be fully understood simply from reading a book.  2011 was a year of reflection, grief and healing.  After many years of doubt I found a therapist I wanted to work with and I was ready to begin make the investment in myself.  The powerful shifts I experienced in therapy could never have happened simply from reading books.  One can understand an idea in theory but is only through experience that someone can truly comprehend an idea.
Books are a great resource, a tool to support us, they need to be part of a bigger plan. One cannot experience life without actually living it firsthand, it`s the feelings and emotions that make life full and rich.  Part of my holistic approach to my Life Evolve Project is my Reading List: I will post my notes and reviews as I progress, in no particular order;
